The Bhagalpur police have delivered a rapid response to a sensational murder case that rocked the Sultanganj Municipal Council. Just 12 hours after Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar was gunned down in his office, the primary accused, Ramdhani Yadav, was killed in a police encounter. The incident occurred during a weapon recovery operation in the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday. Police officials stated that the suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday night following an intensive search operation. As the police convoy reached a secluded area to recover firearms, unknown criminals started firing at the police party. In the middle of the crossfire, Yadav tried to flee by attacking a policeman, leading to a retaliatory shooting by the security forces. Yadav fell to the ground after being hit by several bullets, while his associates managed to flee into the darkness. Senior officials confirmed that the police department has a ‘zero tolerance’ policy toward criminals who target government officials.
