In a bold move aimed at long-term development, Zimbabwe Cricket has named a youthful 15-player squad led by Nomvelo Sibanda for their upcoming maiden tour of Pakistan. With 10 debutants included, the team is set to compete in three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals in Karachi from May 3 to May 15. The selection comes after an honest assessment of the program following the team’s absence from the T20 World Cup qualifiers. Steve Mangongo, head of the Women’s High Performance Program, stated that exposing young talents to international cricket is essential for the future. Veteran Precious Marange will assist Sibanda in leading the side.
