As voting heats up in West Bengal’s high-stakes assembly polls, TMC parliamentarian Sayoni Ghosh unleashed a scathing attack on BJP’s bombastic predictions of triumph. In an exclusive post-voting chat in Kolkata, she asserted that Mamata Banerjee enjoys unshakeable public allegiance, setting the stage for another decisive victory.
Ghosh highlighted the symbolic imagery of Mamata in her signature white sari and chappals, embodying the pulse of Bengal’s common folk. ‘The public is marching in step with Didi,’ she proclaimed, foreseeing crystal-clear voter endorsement in the outcomes.
Dismissing BJP’s bravado as hollow, Ghosh noted their compulsion to feign strength. ‘Bengal’s mood is evident on every face – they’re geared up to bring Mamata back to power,’ she said.
The MP ridiculed the massive central security presence: ‘CRPF in thousands, armored vehicles everywhere – it’s like preparing for battle. Only Air Force and Navy are missing.’ This, she claimed, betrays BJP’s desperation, evidenced by alleged misuse of enforcement agencies, pre-election surveys, voter deletions, and threats.
‘They’re shuffling officers and deploying outsiders clueless about our language, traditions, or realities,’ Ghosh alleged. Undeterred, she vowed Mamata’s resilience would prevail, with Bengal’s voters standing firm.
