To prevent speculative land trading and ensure the smooth execution of its 11 new satellite township projects, the Bihar government has imposed a freeze on all land transactions in the designated areas until March 2027. This proactive measure aims to protect local farmers and small-scale landowners from middle-men while the state prepares the final blueprints. These townships, covering regions such as Chhapra, Sonpur, Sitamarhi, and Munger, are designed to be self-sustaining urban centers.
