Under PM Modi’s guidance, the nation has shattered expectations by achieving 50 percent non-fossil fuel-based electricity production five years before the 2030 deadline.
Joshi revealed the bold target of 500 GW total energy capacity by 2030, fueled by rapid advancements in renewables. Wind, solar, battery, and pumped hydro sources now contribute nearly 30 percent to the power mix.
