The exodus of key Aam Aadmi Party figures like Raghav Chadha to the BJP has ignited a firestorm of political rhetoric across India. NDA heavyweights are reveling in AAP’s misfortune, questioning Arvind Kejriwal’s authoritarian style and the party’s drift from its roots.

Shehzad Poonawalla, BJP’s vocal spokesperson, set the tone in Delhi. ‘Forget Aam Aadmi Party—it’s the Akele Arvind Ki Party now,’ he declared. Poonawalla lambasted Kejriwal for betraying the Anna movement’s ethos. Once crusaders against elite privileges, AAP leaders now embody them, he charged, citing luxury indulgences that mock their anti-VVIP stance.

From Mohali, Tarun Chugh amplified the criticism. ‘Kejriwal sacrificed AAP’s core values for power,’ he said, alleging a mafia-dominated administration in Punjab. Court observations on corruption further undermine Kejriwal, Chugh noted. ‘Smart leaders are jumping ship because integrity has no place here. AAP’s end is near, with faith firmly in BJP.’

JD(U)’s Rajiv Ranjan highlighted internal mismanagement, labeling Chadha’s ouster as a leadership blunder. ‘A proven performer was sidelined, leading to this defection,’ he observed. Ranjan dismissed Tejashwi Yadav’s outreach as futile, signaling RJD’s waning influence.

As AAP grapples with desertions, the narrative of a one-man show dominates. This political realignment could reshape Delhi and Punjab’s dynamics, with NDA poised to capitalize on the momentum.
