In a pivotal session in Ranchi on April 26, Chief Minister Hemant Soren delved deep into the operations of women and child development schemes alongside welfare programs for marginalized communities. Chairs packed with senior bureaucrats, the meeting zeroed in on NGO-driven initiatives, demanding granular details on execution and outcomes.

Soren’s key mandate? Digitize everything. From child care homes to elderly shelters, a centralized database must track every facet, enabling relentless monitoring. Mission Shakti’s Sakhi Niwas for working women drew special attention— a state-wide data repository is now urgent to streamline services like secure lodging and daycare.

‘Link self-help groups to Shakti Sadan operations for grassroots involvement,’ he advised, blending empowerment with efficiency. Mission Vatsalya’s self-funded homes faced scrutiny, with actionable guidelines provided. Turning to ST/SC/minority/backward class welfare, the CM envisioned a digital education revolution, coupled with infrastructure like hospitals, schools, hostels, and nursing institutes amid booming healthcare jobs.

Youth employment topped the agenda: schemes must maximize opportunities. Hostel nutrition programs will now run under district committees, while state societies could oversee broader implementations. Ashram schools might soon emulate Eklavya models for excellence. Soren reiterated commitments to education quality, modern facilities, and student well-being, alongside safe hostel atmospheres.

No stone unturned in monitoring—transparency ensures benefits trickle down to the needy. With officers pledged to heightened responsibility, Jharkhand’s welfare ecosystem stands poised for transformative impact on the underprivileged.
