In a tragic case of domestic violence in Ambikapur, a man and his daughter were taken into custody for the murder of his wife, Durga Chaudhary. Investigating officers revealed that the primary motive was the victim’s chronic alcoholism, which led to frequent quarrels within the household. The situation escalated on December 29 when the husband and daughter thrashed Durga severely. Despite being hospitalized, she passed away during treatment. The police registered a case and promptly arrested the two accused, who are now facing legal proceedings while in jail.
