In a terrifying midnight ordeal, a 19-year-old youth was killed and his teenage brother injured when three masked men broke into their home in the Karhi village of Janjgir-Champa. The victims are the sons of Sammelal Kashyap, a prominent local businessman. Ashutosh Kashyap, the surviving brother, recounted how he was woken by his mother just after midnight, only to find three armed men standing in his room. The shooters eventually fled with a meager amount of cash and a mobile phone, locking the family members inside their rooms before escaping into the night.
