In a stirring address, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath hailed the unwavering resolve and discipline of female police constables at their passing-out ceremony. The 2025 batch of 60,244 recruits exemplified the spirit of service that defines a top-tier police force, he said during the grand event at Lucknow’s Reserve Police Lines on Sunday.
Inspecting the impeccably executed parade, Yogi saluted the trainees and congratulated the women for their steadfast commitment through grueling drills. As they step into district duties, he advised balancing sternness with empathy: tough on lawbreakers, compassionate to the public. This philosophy, rooted in sweat equity during training, promises safer streets ahead.
The statewide synchronized parades underscore massive infrastructure growth. From appointment in June 2025 to training start in July, facilities have been upgraded manifold. Pre-2017, UP Police grappled with dilapidated barracks and limited capacity; now, high-rises house personnel, and 60,244 have trained simultaneously—a ninefold leap.
Modernization shines through: scientific PT regimens, modern rifles replacing outdated ones, a dedicated training portal, and online modules via Karmayogi. UP Police’s 28 lakh courses in Sadhana Week propelled the state to national leadership. ATS gets NIA-level training, cyber units combat digital threats, and forensic expertise is honed at the new Lucknow institute.
Yogi reflected on UP’s journey from riot-prone chaos to a law-and-order beacon. No curfews, no goonda tax, criminals cower while police morale soars. Women’s force share jumped to 36%, bolstered by Mission Shakti centers in every thana, three women PAC battalions, Safe City rollout, pink booths, and 20% women in recruitments. Budget tripled, seven commissionerates added, SSF formed, forensics expanded, and UP-112 response slashed to 7 minutes.
This empowered police is the backbone of UP’s economic boom, attracting investments and scripting a success story of clear policy and iron will.
