Three families in the Lakshminia village of Bhagalpur are grieving after a tragic accident claimed the lives of three laborers on Wednesday. The incident took place in Khairpur Kadwa village within the jurisdiction of the Kadwa police station. The victims were hired to remove the shuttering of a septic tank at the home of Jwala Yadav. As the first worker entered the tank, he was quickly overcome by poisonous gases. In an attempt to save him, two other laborers also entered the tank, only to meet the same tragic fate. All three succumbed to asphyxiation within minutes in the oxygen-depleted environment.

The local administration was quickly alerted, and a team from the Kadwa police station reached the site. Block Development Officer Pankaj Kumar Das and other senior officials also visited the mourning families to offer condolences. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination after being officially declared dead at the Naugachia Sub-divisional Hospital. The names of the deceased—Bam-Bam Mandal, Jananndan Mandal, and Shrilal Mandal—have been recorded by the authorities as part of the ongoing investigation.
