Shrawan Kumar, a close and trusted aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has been named the leader of the JDU legislative party. Hailing from the Chief Minister’s home district of Nalanda, Shrawan Kumar has an impeccable electoral record, having won the Nalanda assembly seat eight consecutive times. His political career began during the JP movement, and he was one of the founding members of the Samta Party in 1995. His deep-rooted connection to the grassroots and his consistent performance in the assembly make him a pivotal figure in Bihar politics as he takes on this new leadership responsibility.
