Raipur April 18, 2026/ Chhattisgarh state has achieved a major national accomplishment through the effective, transparent, and results-oriented implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. In the brainstorming session organized by the National Health Authority of the Government of India on April 17 and 18, 2026, in Pune (Maharashtra), Chhattisgarh was honored in two prestigious categories among all the states of the country as the “Best Performing Large State”. Chhattisgarh received this honor for the accurate identification and effective analysis of suspicious claims in the ‘High Trigger Efficacy’ category and for the quick and timely settlement of suspicious claims in the ‘Timely Processing of Suspicious Claims’ category.
Due to the effective implementation of an advanced IT-based monitoring system, a robust claim audit mechanism, and a trigger-based monitoring system in Chhattisgarh, remarkable improvements have been recorded in the timely identification and swift resolution of suspicious cases. Through better coordination with hospitals and transparent processes, the quality of claim processing has improved, and unnecessary delays have been reduced, ensuring timely, seamless, and quality healthcare services for the beneficiaries of the scheme. This achievement not only demonstrates administrative efficiency and technical robustness but also reflects the people-centric approach and spirit of service of the state government.
Expressing happiness over this achievement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that this national honor received by Chhattisgarh in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana is proof of the state’s transparent, accountable, and people-centric health system. He said that the state government’s aim is to provide free and quality healthcare services to the last person, and in this direction, healthcare services are being made more effective through technology-based monitoring, robust management, and continuous improvement. The Chief Minister attributed this achievement to the officials of the Health Department, healthcare workers, and all collaborating institutions, expressing confidence that Chhattisgarh will continue to set new standards in the field of healthcare in the future.
On this occasion, the state’s Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that this honor is a result of the commitment, transparency, and continuous improvement efforts of Chhattisgarh’s health system. He said that through the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the state government is committed to providing free and quality healthcare services to the last person in the state, and this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of healthcare workers, the administrative team, and all collaborating institutions. He expressed confidence that the state will continue to prioritize public service by performing excellently in the future.
