A man in Durg district surrendered to the police after killing his girlfriend at his residence. The accused, Kartik Ram Sahu, aged 27, admitted to strangling Yuneshwari Verma during a heated dispute over his suspicions regarding her loyalty. Both were students pursuing their Bachelor of Education. After the act, Kartik contacted the authorities directly to report the murder. The Padmanabhpur police have registered a case and initiated a full investigation into the matter, while the victim’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
