Chhattisgarh Tragedy: Suspicious Boyfriend Strangles B.Ed Student

A horrific case of relationship violence has come to light from Chhattisgarh’s Durg district, involving two B.Ed students. The local police have arrested Kartik Ram Sahu for the brutal murder of his girlfriend, Yuneshwari Verma, following a dispute triggered by his suspicion of her having an affair with someone else. Both the victim and the accused were living in Durg for their education, staying in separate rented rooms in Pulgaon and Subhash Nagar respectively. Their relationship, which began at their B.Ed college, was reportedly marred by Kartik’s growing insecurity and possessiveness. The crime occurred on Friday afternoon when Kartik invited Yuneshwari to his residence to resolve ongoing tensions, but instead, it turned into a fatal encounter.
