In a bold statement, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has cautioned the United States against persisting with its ‘blockade, looting, and sea intrusions’ in West Asia, promising a robust counterstrike if unchallenged. The focus remains on the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz, where U.S. naval presence is choking maritime commerce.

Ships departing or arriving at Iranian ports face constant hurdles due to this imposition. Over the past week, targeted measures against Iran-bound vessels have intensified the standoff. Tehran emphasizes its military’s enhanced readiness, poised to safeguard sovereignty and territorial wholeness against any threat.

U.S. forces got a taste of Iran’s offensive prowess in the lately concluded hostilities, the communique notes. With eyes fixed on adversarial maneuvers, Iran upholds dominance in the Hormuz passage. Preparations are complete for inflicting heavier losses should America or Israel strike again.

Al Arabiya, citing sources, claims Iran rejects U.S. preconditions for dialogue. Diplomatically, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi conferred with Pakistan’s top general Asim Munir, outlining visions for conflict resolution and mutual cooperation toward peace.

Touching down in Islamabad Friday evening, Araghchi’s team deliberated on halting hostilities with Washington and Tel Aviv, de-escalation, and stability initiatives, per Tasnim news agency. Since late February, Iran has ramped up Strait oversight, prohibiting passage for affiliated adversary vessels post their coordinated assaults.

After roughly 40 days of strife, a truce took hold on April 8. Islamabad-hosted U.S.-Iran discussions mid-April broke down, leading to the American chokehold. Iran snubbed prospective renewed parleys this week, blaming unrelenting U.S. maritime tactics and inflexible demands.
