A sense of fear has gripped the Pandra region of Ranchi following the brutal murder of Bhargav Singh, a local land trader. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when Singh was exiting a Hanuman temple near the OTC Ground. According to witnesses, masked gunmen were lying in wait and opened fire as soon as Singh reached the main road. The businessman sustained several gunshot wounds and collapsed instantly. The site of the attack is notably close to the high-security residence of MP Sanjay Seth, highlighting a significant lapse in local surveillance and policing.
Police officials arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting and have since launched a comprehensive investigation. One individual, identified as a primary suspect in the case, has been arrested. Investigators are currently exploring a lead involving a property dispute with an individual named Vijay Tete, which is believed to be the primary motive behind the hit.
