Madhya Pradesh faces a rough weather patch ahead, with the IMD’s Bhopal center forecasting intense storms over the next four days. Thunder, lightning, hail, and strong winds threaten numerous regions, prompting urgent safety measures.

Moderate storms with hail and 60 kmph gusts are probable in Sidhi, Sanjay Dubri National Park, eastern Anuppur, and northern Neemuch. As evening sets in, light rain and lightning may hit southern Neemuch, western Anuppur, Amarkantak, northeastern Mandsaur, Vidisha, Bhopal, Agar, Rajgarh, northern Barwani, southern Rewa, Mauganj, Shahdol, Bansagar Dam, Sagar, Damoh, northern Seoni, northern Mandla, and western Raisen. Singrauli anticipates thunderous skies with hail.

High winds of 60-70 kmph loom over parts of Datia, Bhind, Rewa, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, and Niwari. Thunder-rain combos at 40-60 kmph span Bhopal to Balaghat, covering over two dozen districts including Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Sagar.

IMD warns of crop devastation from hail—fruits, veggies, and standing harvests at risk. Protective steps include crop covering, timely harvesting, sheltering animals, and securing vehicles. People are advised to hunker down indoors, disconnect electronics, and steer clear of open areas near trees or wires.

Meteorological factors include a trough from western disturbances and cyclonic circulations influencing the state until May 8. With potential for widespread disruption, authorities emphasize caution to minimize losses to life, assets, and farms in this stormy spell.
