Raipur, May 1, 2026 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai, with the aim of making the administrative system people-centric and sensitive, has given clear and strict instructions to government officials to behave with courtesy, patience, and respect towards the general public. He stated unequivocally that government officials at the headquarters and field levels are the face of the government, and therefore their conduct impacts the government’s image.

The Chief Minister said that listening to people is the primary duty of administrative officers. He cautioned officials to listen to public problems seriously and remain focused on solutions. He clarified that dialogue is meaningful only when it involves empathy and the intention to solve problems.

He instructed that the resolution of public problems in all departments should be made effective, simple, and reliable. When a common citizen visits a government office, they should feel that their voice is being heard and they are being treated with respect. The Chief Minister said that this positive experience builds trust in the minds of the public.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the success of schemes is measured not just by numbers, but by people’s experiences at the grassroots level. Therefore, officials should be active in the field, interact directly with people, and work according to their real needs. He said that sensitivity and promptness are the true strengths of administration.

He expected officials to make transparency and accountability the core basis of their work. The Chief Minister said that public trust is the greatest asset, and to maintain it, honesty, along with graciousness and humility in behavior, is essential.

The Chief Minister also said that good governance is established not just by policies, but by behavior. If officials adopt a simple, easy-going, cooperative approach and a method of quick resolution of public problems at all times, the administration itself becomes more effective, and the number of complaints automatically decreases.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the dream of a developed Chhattisgarh will be realized only when the administration becomes accessible, sensitive, and respectful to every citizen. He expected officials to take this spirit as the core mantra of their work and make everyone feel that the government stands with them.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai clarified that during the ‘Sushasan Tyohar’ (Good Governance Festival), he himself will conduct surprise inspections in various areas and observe not only the work of officials but also their behavior. He said that during public interaction, the sensitivity, graciousness, and accountability of officials will be prioritized and assessed.

It is noteworthy that in Chhattisgarh, the ‘Sushasan Tyohar 2026’ is being organized from May 1 to June 10 across the state for the prompt and effective resolution of problems of common citizens. Under this, large-scale solution camps will be organized in rural and urban areas. During this period, applications will be accepted and public problems will be resolved in camps at the Panchayat and Ward levels. Public representatives will actively participate in the Sushasan Tyohar, and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai himself will conduct surprise inspections and review the resolution of public problems and the implementation of government schemes.
