The Raipur district administration has demonstrated a high level of accountability after a cancer-stricken lecturer was denied her medical reimbursement due to bureaucratic apathy. The teacher had been making frequent rounds of government offices to receive financial aid for her treatment, but her file remained stagnant due to the negligence of a junior clerk. After the lecturer met with District Magistrate Dr. Gaurav Singh to explain her dire situation, the administration swung into action. Following the DM’s orders, the clerk was suspended and attached to the Dharsiwa Block Education Officer’s office. In a show of administrative efficiency, the entire process was expedited, and the funds were released immediately.
