The state government is celebrating a rice festival from June 1st to provide rice for the months of June, July, and August together. However, a sudden change in the ration distribution rules is causing problems for people. According to the new rules, ration distribution will now be done only after receiving an OTP on the mobile, instead of using fingerprints. Beneficiaries are receiving six OTPs on their mobile to receive three months’ worth of rations. This is causing confusion and delays in completing the process.
