At a high-profile summit in India’s capital, international specialists painted a promising picture of the nation’s future. India is fast transforming into an economic giant, experts say, with immense capacity to stabilize global peace, economies, and cutting-edge technologies.

Speaking on the fringes of the ‘Resilient Futures Summit 2026’ by Economist Enterprise, Danny Quah from Singapore’s National University delved into today’s turbulent landscape. The evolution of terrorism and flux in trade patterns have injected massive uncertainty into the world economy, he observed.

Quah went further, warning of crumbling trust in global institutions. ‘Multilateral frameworks, once the bedrock of cooperation, are fraying,’ he told IANS. Turning to India, he added, ‘This is where India shines. People worldwide are turning to India for peace and strong guidance. The choice of how to lead rests with India.’

Ian Blatchford from London’s Science Museum brought attention to India’s refreshing stance on AI. Contrasting it with Western fears, he noted, ‘While America and Europe grapple with public concerns over AI, India is proactively creating AI centers and thoughtfully addressing its ramifications.’

He lauded India’s progress in the Global South context: ‘India masterfully juggles growth, better quality of life, and energy challenges— a feat not seen in long-prosperous Western nations.’

This chorus of praise signals India’s ascent as a global leader. In an era of instability, India’s blend of economic vigor, tech optimism, and peace-building potential offers hope for a more secure, innovative future.
