In a post-election address from Jaipur, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat lauded the BJP’s gains in West Bengal as a clear vote for su-shasan (good governance) and security. He credited PM Modi’s leadership, Amit Shah’s strategic acumen, and grassroots activism for turning the tide.

The results, Shekhawat asserted, represent a robust mandate from Bengal’s voters prioritizing development over the status quo. This eastern powerhouse, with its critical maritime and land borders, holds immense strategic value for India.

‘People want stability and strong administration in this geopolitically sensitive area,’ Shekhawat remarked, detailing the state’s borders with three neighboring countries and its Bay of Bengal shoreline. Effective governance here directly bolsters national security.

Shekhawat oversaw North Bengal’s 28 seats, where BJP dominated, securing wins across the board except two. State organizers like JP Nadda, Bhupendra Yadav, and Sunil Bansal ensured a flawless campaign rollout.

Echoing pre-poll predictions of political transformation, Shekhawat viewed the verdict as affirmation of BJP’s vision. It underscores voters’ aspirations for a development-focused regime, potentially reshaping Bengal’s political landscape for years to come.
