Munger Student Suicide: Engineering Student Ends Life in Bihar

In a shocking manifestation of impulsive behavior, an engineering student in Munger’s Jamalpur took his own life after his mother refused to provide him with a small sum of money. The victim, Kumar Gaurav, was the youngest of three siblings and the son of a retired railway employee. Reports indicate that Gaurav had been insistent on getting Rs 2000 from his mother. Her refusal, based on the fact that he had already received funds earlier in the month, led to a heated argument. Witnesses stated that Gaurav lashed out by damaging household property before isolating himself in a top-floor room. Using his sister’s dupatta, he committed the act while the family was downstairs. Upon discovering the body, the family immediately notified the local authorities. The police have since arrived at the scene to record statements and have sent the remains to the local hospital for a forensic examination to confirm the cause of death.
