In a confident proclamation from Ranchi, BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo declared that West Bengal’s assembly polls will usher in a BJP-led government. The public, weary of TMC’s governance, is ready for change, he told IANS in an interview.
Tracing Bengal’s turbulent politics, Deo highlighted the atheist communists followed by Congress’s divisive appeasement. Under Mamata Banerjee, he alleged, this has escalated dramatically. ‘Policies to placate a specific group defy democracy and surpass even Pakistan’s practices,’ Deo charged.
Turning to Tamil Nadu’s dynamics, he avoided commenting on DMK-Vijay clashes, reaffirming BJP’s robust electoral strategy and NDA solidarity. ‘For the first time, NDA eyes power in Tamil Nadu with BJP’s pivotal role,’ he predicted.
Deo also weighed in on Lenskart’s grooming policy row, condemning any corporate move that offends religious customs. ‘India is secular, but that doesn’t mean mocking traditions like tilak. We honor our Sanatan heritage,’ he stressed.
These remarks come amid intensifying campaigns, positioning BJP as a formidable challenger to TMC’s stronghold and hinting at broader regional gains for the NDA.
