West Bengal is on the cusp of a political transformation, according to Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar. The BJP leader confidently stated that his party will secure a two-thirds majority, forming the government after voters, including those from outside the state, turned out in droves to reject Mamata Banerjee’s TMC.

In an exclusive interview, Majumdar credited PM Modi’s visionary leadership for the impending triumph. He mocked the TMC’s strong room protests, saying they’ve mentally prepared for opposition benches. ‘Banerjee is ready to lead the opposition; the opposition mode is fully activated,’ he laughed.

All TMC accusations have been rebutted by the Election Commission, he pointed out. On corruption scandals plaguing the current administration, Majumdar assured rigorous investigations and punitive measures by the new regime. ‘Wherever corruption surfaces, strict action is guaranteed.’

Tackling the menace of Islamic radicalism head-on, the minister promised its complete elimination under BJP governance. ‘Peaceful religious practice is welcome, but extremism will be rooted out.’ Border fencing will accelerate with BS F support, enforcing a robust ‘detect, delete, deport’ strategy.

Ensuring peace amid potential unrest, central paramilitary forces will stay for two months as per Amit Shah’s directive. Majumdar envisioned a democratic renaissance in Bengal, with TMC fading into irrelevance. The choice of Chief Minister, he noted, rests with the parliamentary panel.
