In a gesture of deep appreciation, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his supportive message on the occasion of Maharashtra Day. Posting on social media platform X, Fadnavis responded to Modi’s comprehensive letter, describing the PM’s steadfast support as a cornerstone for the state’s ambitions.

The Prime Minister’s note, spanning three pages, conveyed festive greetings while articulating a grand vision for a developed Maharashtra. It eloquently reflected on the state’s illustrious legacy, societal impacts, cultural richness, economic momentum, and its indispensable part in nation-building, including notable progress in Gadchiroli.

Fadnavis shared, ‘Your warm words have elevated this significant day for all Maharashtrians. They mirror our heritage and future potential beautifully.’ He called Modi’s guidance and ongoing strong support immensely valuable and motivational, expressing full faith in future collaboration.

Prior to this, PM Modi had greeted the people of Maharashtra, hailing the state as a perennial source of inspiration for Bharat’s civilization. He flagged 2026 as a pivotal year with deep cultural and historical resonance.

Modi sketched a forward-looking path that honors historical pride while pushing infrastructure frontiers. Maharashtra leads India’s economic revolution through infrastructure and innovation, backed by the Centre’s massive Rs 24,000 crore railway funding for 2025-26.

Key initiatives include advancing Mumbai’s Metro Aqua Line and Navi Mumbai Airport, elevating Vadhvan Port, positioning Bidkin in Sambhaji Nagar as an industrial powerhouse, and Gadchiroli’s investment surge following Naxal reduction. The PM applauded the phased Viksit Maharashtra plan targeting 2029, 2035, and 2047 to sync with Viksit Bharat.

‘India’s advancement owes much to Maharashtra, still the investors’ paradise,’ Modi affirmed, signaling a promising era of collaborative growth under strong leadership.
