In the wake of Tamil Nadu’s assembly election verdict, CM MK Stalin, leader of the DMK, struck a poignant note of appreciation and resolve. Addressing supporters via X, he poured out thanks to the 1.54 crore voters who backed his secular alliance, even as the opposition claimed a narrow win.

‘This mandate reflects deep public confidence,’ Stalin posted, breaking down the figures: DMK alliance garnered 1,54,82,782 votes, trailing rivals by only 17.43 lakh—a slim 3.52% gap. These stats, he argued, underscore enduring support for DMK’s vision.

Despite losing his Kolathur seat, Stalin rallied his victorious MLAs: ‘Hit the ground running—meet the people, express gratitude.’ Democracy thrives when leaders prioritize citizens, he reminded.

Drawing from DMK’s legacy of six governments and cycles of rise and fall, Stalin stressed ideological fidelity. ‘Cadres who stand firm in win or loss are our backbone,’ he declared, lauding them as the movement’s vital force.

Amid sympathetic messages, Stalin remained buoyant: ‘My workers, devoted to Karunanidhi’s memory, ensure no worry besets us.’ He owns the 1.54 crore tally as their hard-earned reward and positions himself as lead activist for the masses.

In power, DMK delivers programs; out of it, it holds the government accountable. ‘We’ll be a formidable opposition, fighting for every citizen’s cause,’ he pledged.

Stalin invoked the guiding lights—Periyar, Anna, Karunanidhi—to reaffirm commitment to Dravidian principles, Tamil pride, and cultural preservation. With unity, he assured, the party will reclaim power, leaving none behind on the path ahead.
