Uttar Pradesh’s Cabinet meeting under CM Yogi Adityanath’s leadership unleashed a flurry of transformative decisions aimed at governance overhaul and economic revitalization. At the forefront is the new 2026-27 transfer policy for officials and employees, confining all transfers to May 31, 2026. Group A and B officers hitting three-year district or seven-year divisional tenures face mandatory relocation, with divisional postings limited to three years.

Capping transfers at 20% for higher groups and 10% for lower ones, the policy emphasizes online merit-based processes and field rotation compliance. Empathy shines through with flexible postings for parents of disabled children, priority in underdeveloped districts, and strict protocols for post-session senior transfers requiring CM nod.

The ‘One District One Product’ initiative takes center stage as UP’s branding flagship. PWD tender reforms promise quality construction via rigorous security and checks on aggressive bidders. Power line farmers now get doubled compensation under towers and 30% for affected lines, a substantial uplift.

Textile ambitions soar with 10 parks planned under Sant Kabir scheme, utilizing 251.8 acres from shuttered mills transferred gratis. Lucknow’s outer ring road expansion to PM Mitra Park, costing Rs 546.51 crore, will slash logistics costs and enhance connectivity.

Additional highlights: Rs 147 crore for 35 crore tree plantation, district-level OT D Fellows for growth and analytics, private university act activation, Firozabad’s new varsity nod, and extended HC research roles. These steps underscore UP’s commitment to skilled workforce, sustainable infra, and farmer prosperity, setting a new benchmark for state administration.
