Raipur April 23, 2026. Regarding recent media reports related to the suicide of a headmaster in Bijapur district, the District Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Bijapur, has clarified that reports of pressure for payment of incomplete construction work are baseless and misleading. In a clarification issued by the District Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Bijapur, it has been stated that considering the sensitivity of the matter, the department is cooperating fully and impartially with the police investigation.
According to the information received, the Head Teacher Mr. Raju Pujari, posted at Primary School Majharpara under Gram Panchayat Palnar, passed away on April 22, 2026, which is an extremely tragic event. Samagra Shiksha Department has clarified that the construction work of the primary school building and additional room was carried out through the School Management Committee, in which the Headmaster is the ex-officio chairperson. The District Mission Coordinator said that the news published in some newspapers and electronic media without verifying the facts is misleading, creating confusion among the general public. He appealed that news should be published only based on official information.
The department has reiterated that the police are investigating all aspects of this tragic incident and the education department is ensuring cooperation at every level.
