Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers fired in unison to bundle out Rajasthan Royals for 155 in the IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens. Karthik Tyagi and Varun Chakravarthy shared six wickets, giving KKR a fighting target of 156 in their must-win game.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, RR’s innings kicked off promisingly. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 81 runs in the powerplay. Suryavanshi’s aggressive 46 came off 28 balls, falling just four runs short of a fifty with stylish strokeplay. Jaiswal anchored with 39, but his dismissal at 99 left RR reeling.

Post-powerplay, wickets tumbled. Dhruv Jurel scored a quick 5, Parag 12, and Hetmyer 15, but no one could stabilize the innings. Chakravarthy’s economical spell of 3/14 and Tyagi’s 3/22 dismantled the batting lineup, with Narine grabbing 2/?. RR ended at 155/9.

This victory chase is crucial for KKR, who have lost five of six games and sit last. RR, with four wins from five, hold third place. A win here could propel KKR up the table and boost morale in a dismal campaign.

KKR XI: Rahane (capt), Seifert (keeper), Green, Powell, Rinku, Narine, Ramandeep, Anukul Roy, Arora, Tyagi, Chakravarthy.

RR XI: Suryavanshi, Jaiswal, Jurel (wk), Parag (c), Hetmyer, Ferreira, Jadeja, Archer, Burger, Sharma, Bishnoi.
