Raipur, April 16, 2026/In Chhattisgarh, in connection with the house listing and house count under the first phase of Census 2027, the process of self-enumeration has started from April 16 to April 30, 2026. Today, here at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan, Chief Secretary Mr. Vikasheel registered his own information under self-enumeration. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, Chhattisgarh Census Director Mr. Kartikeya Goyal, and officials of the Census Directorate were also present.
The Chief Secretary appealed to the people of the state to make maximum use of this facility and participate actively in the census by filling in their own information. In the state, citizens have been given the opportunity to register their information through self-enumeration from April 16 to April 30, 2026. For self-enumeration, details can be easily filled by visiting the portal se.census.gov.in.
The Chief Secretary said that this initiative is considered an important step towards making the census process easy, transparent, and more reliable, enabling people to share their correct and complete information themselves. After the self-enumeration period ends, from May 1 to May 30, the census team will collect information from people by visiting door-to-door. Enumerators will visit door-to-door and record the information. Information for every house will be recorded. Information about the condition of the house, facilities, and basic details will be collected. Those who have registered information under self-enumeration should definitely share their SE ID with the census enumerators when they visit their homes. If anyone is unable to self-enumerate, there is no need to worry. In Chhattisgarh state, enumerators will definitely visit your home and record the information during the period from May 1 to May 30, 2026. All citizens are requested to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure their participation in the development of the country.
