In a remarkable act of administrative sensitivity, the Jharkhand government has cleared ₹15 crore for the treatment of Yamika Patel, a resident of Giridih. Facing a severe medical crisis, the girl’s family had reached out to the state for assistance as the cost of treatment, specifically for rare injections, was exorbitant. Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari stated that the government’s priority is to ensure that no citizen, especially a child, is deprived of life-saving treatment due to a lack of funds. Following a review by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and legislator Kalpana Soren, the proposal was fast-tracked through the cabinet. This decision serves as a testament to the state’s responsive governance in the healthcare sector.
