During the Virat Hindu Sammelan in Gumla’s Raidih block, senior RSS functionary Dr. Suman Kumar provided a detailed overview of the organization’s massive nationwide expansion. He revealed that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has now established its presence in 98.3 percent of the 924 districts across the country, spanning from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Kutch to Arunachal Pradesh. The statistics shared by Dr. Kumar paint a picture of a vast organizational network, with over 83,000 daily ‘Shakhas’ (branches) operating in more than 51,000 locations. Additionally, weekly meetings are conducted at over 26,000 locations, further strengthening the social fabric.
Dr. Kumar emphasized that the growth of the RSS is a response to the historical vulnerabilities of Indian society. He pointed out that while India had regained its independence through valor in the past, it often lost it due to internal divisions and a lack of discipline. The mission of the RSS, therefore, is to ensure that the hard-won freedom of the country is never compromised again by creating a society that is united, virtuous, and self-reliant. He stated that the organization now covers a significant majority of administrative blocks and circles, making it one of the most influential social organizations in the world.
He further stressed that this organizational strength is not for the sake of power or fame but for the empowerment of the nation. The goal is to eliminate poverty, ignorance, and social fragmentation. By fostering a sense of national consciousness and unity, the RSS aims to prepare the country to face modern global challenges and cultural encroachments. The speaker urged the audience to join this movement of national resurgence to ensure that the society remains organized and disciplined in the face of future uncertainties.
