Manendragarh. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unit, Manendragarh, submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) regarding serious problems prevailing in the Scheduled Tribe hostel.

Students’ council workers stated that the students living in the hostel are living in extremely pathetic conditions due to the lack of basic amenities, which is affecting their daily routine and academic activities.

The memorandum drew attention to the major problems, including the lack of a borewell in the hostel premises, shortage of clean and adequate drinking water, and the unavailability of a water cooler despite the scorching heat.

On this occasion, City President Brijendra Mishra said that the lack of basic facilities in the hostel is a very serious issue. Students are not even getting essential facilities like water, which is condemnable.

If immediate improvements are not made, the Students’ Council will be compelled to launch a fierce protest.

Further, City Joint Secretary Mahesh Koushik said that it is extremely unfortunate that students are facing difficulties in getting drinking water during the intense heat.

The administration should take cognizance of this issue on priority and resolve it immediately, otherwise, a protest in the interest of students will be unavoidable.

The Students’ Council has demanded from the SDM that these problems be resolved quickly.

The Students’ Council has warned that if the problems are not resolved within 07 days, the ABVP unit, Manendragarh, will be compelled to launch a fierce protest in the interest of students, for which the administration will be solely responsible.

All workers of the ABVP unit, Manendragarh, were present during this memorandum.
