In a tragic road accident in Gumla, two individuals lost their lives after a vehicle ferrying a wedding party flipped over. The crash occurred near Betarkera on Sunday as the group was heading back to Torpa from a marriage ceremony in Lachragarh. The deceased, Sahil Bhengra and Chandra Mahto, were residents of Simdega district. According to the police, the driver and owner of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident. Local villagers helped rescue the survivors, but the two men sitting on the roof bore the brunt of the impact. An investigation is currently underway to track down the absconding driver.
