Fear of Fatalities After Major Explosion at Vedanta’s Sakti Facility

Tragedy struck the Singhitrai region of Sakti district today when a boiler at the Vedanta Power Plant exploded, leaving dozens of laborers injured. The incident took place during peak working hours, resulting in a high number of casualties. Witnesses described a scene of absolute carnage, with the sound of the explosion echoing for kilometers. Early estimates suggest that at least 40 workers sustained injuries ranging from severe burns to impact wounds caused by flying debris.
