Madhya Pradesh’s Dindori district witnessed a heartbreaking road accident on Sunday morning when a gravel-laden tractor-trolley flipped into a ditch, killing four teenagers and young adults from Bhimkundi village. The group was traveling from Anuppur district, hoping to gather materials for local construction work.

According to eyewitness accounts and police statements, the driver struggled with the steering at a treacherous curve near Karan Pathar. The overloaded vehicle skidded off the highway, tumbling into a deep pit and trapping everyone inside.

Victims included 24-year-old driver Ankush Uike, along with his friends Brajesh Pendo (18), Ravindra Kumar (18), and the youngest, Chandra Prakash Marko (17). They were inseparable companions, often seen together in their village.

Prompt action by nearby villagers led to quick police response. Heavy machinery was deployed to free the trapped bodies, a task that proved arduous due to the trolley’s immense weight. All four were declared dead on arrival at the scene.

Post-mortems are being conducted, and forensic teams are probing possible causes, including vehicle condition and road safety lapses. Authorities have filed an FIR and vowed a thorough inquiry.

As news spread, Bhimkundi village plunged into grief. Police brass offered sympathies, while officials assured aid packages for the bereaved families. This incident underscores the urgent need for safer rural roads and stricter vehicle checks in accident-prone zones.
