Hyderabad witnessed a breathtaking spectacle as more than 6,000 yoga devotees struck the Bhujangasana pose in perfect synchronization, clinching the Asia Book of Records title for the largest such gathering. Held at Kanha Shanti Vanam, the event was a testament to yoga’s mass appeal and organizational prowess.

Union Ministers Prataprao Jadhav and G. Kishan Reddy spearheaded the initiative, guiding participants through the pose. This ‘Yoga Mahotsav’ launched the 50-day buildup to International Yoga Day 2026, drawing crowds eager to embrace ancient practices in a fast-paced world.

Backed by the Ministry of AYUSH and MDNIY, the program highlighted yoga’s transformative potential. Reddy described it as a universal boon from India, vital for tackling contemporary woes and paving the way for a developed nation by 2047.

He envisioned Hyderabad evolving beyond its IT fame into a wellness epicenter. Jadhav praised Modi’s leadership in globalizing yoga, boosting physical, mental, and emotional well-being while elevating India’s wellness tourism profile.

The ‘Yoga 365’ campaign was a focal point, partnering with Habild and MDNIY for daily yoga integration. Free 100-day training sessions target 100,000+ participants with certifications, running through June 21.

Future plans include a Khajuraho edition for the final countdown phase, merging architecture, culture, and yoga. Commendations went to MDNIY and Yoga Certification Board for Expo 2025 yoga programs in Osaka.

Monalisa Das emphasized the venue’s alignment with yoga’s essence of balance, fueling a pan-India health drive. This achievement not only sets records but inspires a healthier tomorrow.
