Delhi Police struck twice in East District, exposing a cyber fraud ring and nabbing a liquor peddler in coordinated raids. Six arrests in total, along with seized contraband and digital evidence, have disrupted illegal activities worth lakhs.

First, the cyber cell shattered an inter-state gang preying on unsuspecting Indians via task-based and investment frauds. The five arrested from Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, used apps to show fake profits, then siphoned big bucks into layered accounts. Five phones were key to their deceitful trade.

The scam’s footprint: more than 3.4 lakh rupees swindled. Interrogations exposed their role in supplying mule accounts for cuts of the loot. This organized outfit had tentacles nationwide.

Meanwhile, in Kalyanpuri, a tip-off led to 19-year-old Rahul’s capture red-handed selling bootleg booze. 120 liters of Haryana-bound illicit liquor was confiscated, hinting at organized smuggling. He admitted involvement, and police are chasing the supply source.

As probes continue, these busts highlight rising cyber threats and illicit trade in the capital. Experts advise verifying investment platforms and reporting suspicious activities promptly to safeguard finances.
