VCK Leader Predicts Massive DMK Victory in TN Polls

In a bold assertion, VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan predicted a ‘massive victory’ for the DMK alliance in Tamil Nadu’s recently concluded assembly elections. Fresh off a campaign stint in Bengaluru, he shared his insights with media at Chennai airport, drawing from direct interactions with voters in more than 40 electoral segments.

Thirumavalavan described an undeniable groundswell propelling the DMK-led front toward triumph. Most surveys post-voting reinforce this momentum, he said, even if outliers paint a different picture. The alliance, in his view, is on track to secure a majority independently, ensuring continued governance.

He refuted internal alliance discord narratives, stemming from his earlier callouts on select constituencies’ support gaps. ‘These are standard reviews, not fractures,’ Thirumavalavan emphasized. Attempts to portray them as rifts have not dented the coalition’s solidarity.

Dismissing hung house scenarios or Vijay’s pivotal role, the leader blamed right-wing elements and bookies for disinformation campaigns. Pre-poll odds leaned DMK; post-poll hype pivoted to Vijay, he observed, labeling it manipulative speculation from gambling circles.

Thirumavalavan cast doubt on Vijay endorsements from ex-officials and slammed social media echo chambers for overhyping the actor’s appeal. Comparing to faded stars like Vijayakanth, he stressed digital distortion: ‘Youth aren’t uniformly behind him – opposition voices are real but suppressed online.’

With results imminent, the VCK president’s optimism signals robust alliance prospects in a high-stakes electoral battle.
