Delhi’s fight against drugs intensified as the Crime Branch’s Interstate Cell orchestrated a high-stakes operation, shattering an interstate cocaine syndicate. Over 500 grams of top-grade cocaine, street value pegged at 5 crore rupees globally, was confiscated, with two suppliers taken into custody.

Under the sharp leadership of Inspector Satendra Khari and oversight from ACP R.S. Lamba, the team comprising SI Sandeep, Vineet, Amit, Arjun, ASI Randhir, HC Sanoj, and Constable Vikas executed the sting flawlessly.

The breakthrough stemmed from a tip-off on April 10, 2026, signaling a dealer en route to Delhi’s Ghaziabad Roundabout. The trap sprung, capturing Javed Hussain (29) from Bareilly, UP, who was carrying 456 grams of the potent substance meant for Delhi-NCR peddling.

FIR under NDPS Act Section 21 was filed, and Javed’s grilling revealed his source: Soib Khan (25), also from Bareilly. Remand led to a daring raid on April 22 in Bareilly, nabbing Soib at home amid discovery of incriminating evidence.

Interestingly, Javed held a job at a local jeans factory, and both men lack criminal history, marking their entry into the underworld as novices with limited education.

Interrogation of Soib continues under remand, with police hinting at a broader conspiracy. Ongoing searches aim to dismantle the entire supply chain, sending a strong message to drug traffickers lurking in the shadows of the capital.
