Tesla has made a bold entry into India’s family SUV segment with the launch of the Model Y L, a six-seater electric vehicle starting at ₹61.99 lakh. The event at Mumbai’s Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Center drew crowds, signaling strong interest in Tesla’s vision for sustainable mobility.
Immediately after the unveiling, online bookings opened on the company’s site. From April 23, 2026, car enthusiasts can view the Model Y L at Tesla’s experience centers in prime locations like BKC in Mumbai, Aerocity in Delhi, and Gurugram. Nationwide deliveries kick off in June 2026.
This premium EV claims a robust 681 km driving range and sprints to 100 km/h in 5 seconds flat. Its standout feature is the intelligent three-row seating for six, optimized for maximum comfort. Second-row seats offer luxury touches like ventilated cushions, heating, power armrests, and effortless folding. The third row includes reclining seats, dedicated climate vents, and simple stow-away design.
With financing from ₹49,000 monthly, ownership is within reach. Tesla’s India strategy includes expanding its network: five active Supercharger sites today, with seven more planned on key routes spanning major cities.
Service remains hassle-free via OTA updates and remote monitoring, reducing the need for physical visits. As Tesla fortifies its presence, the Model Y L isn’t just a car—it’s a statement on the future of family travel in India.
