One year after the bloodbath in Pahalgam, Prime Minister Modi invoked the memory of the 26 innocents slaughtered by terrorists, vowing that India would never yield to such barbarity. His emotional tribute on Wednesday highlighted both profound sorrow and steely resolve.

Posting on X, the Prime Minister reflected: ‘Today marks one year since the terrifying terror attack in Pahalgam claimed innocent lives. We honor their memory—they remain etched in our hearts forever. My heart goes out to the families bearing this unbearable pain.’

Modi underscored collective strength: ‘In this hour of mourning and determination, our nation unites. India refuses to bend before terrorism in any guise. Terrorists’ evil plans are doomed to fail.’

Flashback to that fateful day in Baisaran Valley: Terrorists ambushed tourists, methodically questioning identities before opening fire. The brutality peaked as they gunned down victims right before their loved ones’ eyes, leaving 26 dead and a country in outrage.

Retaliation came hard and fast via Operation Sindoor, where precision strikes demolished nine terror camps in Pakistan, killing more than 100 extremists. The campaign peaked with Operation Mahadev on July 28, eliminating the attack’s key perpetrators.

PM Modi’s message on this anniversary not only commemorates the fallen but also signals to adversaries: India’s fight against terror is unwavering. The nation mourns, but its spirit remains invincible.
