Tejashwi Targets Samrat Chaudhary Over Women’s Bill Delay

In Patna, Bihar’s opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav unleashed a sharp critique against Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and the Centre over the stalled Women’s Reservation Bill. Speaking to reporters, Yadav mocked the CM’s ignorance: ‘He doesn’t get it, so naturally, whatever Gujarati brothers say, that’s what he’ll do. Delhi PMO handlers are running the show.’

The RJD chief reminded that the bill cleared Parliament three years back but gathers dust. ‘Why the delay? Chaudhary lacks basic info. Leaders from PMO manage him; soon his top aide too,’ he said.

Yadav showcased RJD’s women empowerment record: topping Bihar with 29% female candidates in 2024 Lok Sabha polls, 25% women MPs, 17% in 2025 Assembly, and 21.4% in Council. ‘Bihar’s sole woman CM was ours,’ he boasted.

Slamming BJP’s ‘Manusmriti faith,’ Yadav alleged the bill masks a seat-delimitation scam slashing opposition strongholds. ‘We want 50% quota for women, OBCs included, from villages to cities.’

He contrasted RJD’s actions with BJP’s zero women ministers or CMs from Bihar in 75 years, calling for genuine reform over political games.
