Raipur, April 12, 2026/Welcome to Gaura. May this exhibition be a source of joy, inspiration, and contemplation for all who attend. The third visual arts exhibition ‘Gaura’, organized by the Chhattisgarh Progressive Artist Group (CGPAG), is being held from April 10 to April 12, 2026, at the Art Gallery located near Raj Bhavan in the Mahant Ghasidas Museum, Raipur. This prestigious exhibition will present artworks by 100 renowned artists from across the country on one platform. Four distinguished guest artists will also be participating on this occasion.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on April 10, 2026, by the Chief Guest Shri Guru Khushwant, Minister of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh Government, and by distinguished guests Dr. Chittaranjan Kar, writer from Raipur, and Ved Prakash Bhardwaj, visual artist, art writer, curator, and editor from New Delhi, who will grace this occasion. After the inauguration, the exhibition remained open to the public. The ‘Gaura’ exhibition is a celebration of the diversity, creativity, and expression of contemporary Indian art. It will provide art lovers, students, and the general audience with a unique opportunity to see and understand the works of artists from different parts of the country.
Shri Guru Khushwant, Minister of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh Government, said, “I am extremely pleased and proud to welcome you to ‘Gaura’, the inaugural exhibition of CGPAG, a celebration of Chhattisgarh’s vibrant and diverse artistic spirit. Within the organizational structure of (CGPAG) at the Ghasidas Museum Art Gallery, Raipur, Dr. Dhruv Tiwari serves as Curator, Jiten Sahu as Coordinator, Shanti Tirkey as Associate Coordinator, and Anil Khobragade as Treasurer, playing active roles. The works presented here are a testament to the resilience, innovation, and passion of our artists. They capture the essence of our times, addressing themes that resonate with our collective consciousness – identity, heritage, environment, and the human experience. Each artwork is a window into the soul of its creator, offering insights and emotions that go beyond words.
