Washington buzzed with insights as RSS Sarsanghchalak Dattatreya Hosabale, in a Hudson Institute fireside chat, celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deep RSS connections. The event spotlighted the profound ideological synergy between the RSS and the BJP-led government.

‘PM Modi’s foundations lie in the RSS, integral to his leadership,’ Hosabale declared, noting Modi’s repeated public acknowledgments. Pride swelled in his voice as he discussed this bond.

Delving into origins, Hosabale explained the 1980 BJP formation with RSS ties intact by design. ‘Founders insisted on this unbreakable link,’ he said. Government ranks, he observed, are filled with RSS alumni, embodying continuity.

Yet, boundaries are firm: no direct RSS meddling in policy. ‘We stay out of government politics but back national-interest measures,’ Hosabale asserted.

Positioning RSS as a cultural architect, not a political player, he highlighted its volunteer ecosystem promoting service and unity. From humble 1925 beginnings, RSS has evolved massively, but Hosabale warned against arrogance. ‘Strength demands humility; we’re works in progress.’

Looking ahead, RSS will continue molding selfless sevaks for societal good, balancing modernity with tradition. Part of the New India Conference, this dialogue explored India’s ascent amid global ties, reinforcing RSS’s pivotal role in the nation’s fabric.
