Lunar sample studies from Chang’e-5 have yielded two newly identified minerals—’Changesite-(Mg)’ and ‘Changesite-(Ce)’—expanding our understanding of extraterrestrial materials. In a bid for interstellar teamwork, five projects were chosen for Tianwen-3’s Mars venture, promising rich scientific returns and cutting-edge tech.

The Shìhé-2 solar probe opened doors for international involvement, while the debut of Commercial Space Standards 1.0 sets a framework for private enterprises to thrive. Looking ahead, CNSA head Shan Chongde detailed the 15th Five-Year Plan’s focus: ramping up human spaceflight, Moon probes, planet rovers, and satellite networks.

Heavy rockets, recoverable launchers, and advanced infrastructure top the priority list. Shan highlighted expanded cooperation on Moon missions, planetary hunts, asteroid safeguards, orbital operations, and debris cleanup. Commitments to the International Lunar Research Station and global space rules underscore China’s vision for a shared cosmic future.
