In a bold move to supercharge rural prosperity, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma convened a crucial review meeting on the state’s dairy initiatives. He directed officials to onboard maximum livestock rearers into dairy activities, positioning it as the sturdy pillar of village economies.

Presiding over the Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation’s scheme evaluations, Sharma stressed innovation and execution to elevate dairy’s economic contributions. A comprehensive marketing strategy for milk products, backed by rigorous quality standards, was ordered for immediate rollout.

Leveraging ‘Viksit Gram’ and ‘Viksit Ward’ insights, new dairy outlets will sprout statewide. The CM reaffirmed the government’s dual focus: safeguarding producers via schemes like Milk Producer Sambal Yojana and consumers through reliable ‘Saras’ brands.

Expansion plans for ‘Saras’ include chic formats like Saras Smart, Cafe, and Signature Plaza, targeting religious hubs such as Khatu Shyamji and Pushkar for prime visibility. Amenities at these spots must be top-notch. Progress on Rajivika-run parlors in collectorates was assessed, alongside pushes into hospitals, bus depots, and tourism lodgings.

Sharma urged tie-ups with private firms for ‘Saras’ promotion in other states. Zero tolerance for milk adulteration demands a chain-wide quality vigil. Current daily milk intake stands at 45 lakh liters, with ambitions to hit 65 lakh soon and 85 lakh later. Procurement price uplifts and Rs 530 crore investments in plants signal serious intent.

Rajasthan’s dairy revolution is underway, blending farmer welfare with market dominance for sustainable rural upliftment.
