National Conference’s Lok Sabha MP on Sunday said the only way to silence him is to restore Article 370 and stop “harassment of Muslims and minorities” of the country.
Ruhullah spoke a day after the Anti-Corruption Bureau filed a charge sheet in a 2009 case pertaining to alleged tampering of revenue records in which Ruhullah, his family members and other individuals have been named.
Expressing shock at the charge sheet, he said there was no communication from authorities or investigators for last two decades.”These childish acts can’t force me into silence. I will keep silent from the day Article 370 would be restored and harassment and excesses against Muslims and minorities of this country will stop. Such childish acts will prove counterproductive,” said Ruhullah.
He said government should get this case probed by NIA or any other central agency. “This is an attempt to create an intimidating scenario like they do through CBI, NIA and ED. I am not among those who succumb to such tantrums,” he said.
